Between 1652 and 1655 Romain crosses the Atlantic because he marries in Quebec, Genevieve Drouin, the 24th April 1656. It seems logical that he boarded ship in Dieppe, but this is only a supposition, and on what boat?
In Quebec, Romain was called to present himself twenty times before the High Consul, Supreme Authority, in the country in this period. Several other times to see the "Bishop Laval", the highest religious order in the colony.
From this couple were born two sons, Claude, born in 1671 and baptized at St. Anne, and Jean at Quebec in 1674.
They participated in the Hudson Bay Campaign with LeMoyne D'Iberville. From there they returned to Plaisance in (Terre-Neuve) then to Rochefort, France. (On Oct. 17, 1699, they embarked with Iberville on "La Renommie" destined for the New Colony, Louisianna. Only Claude arrived at Fort Maurepas A'Biloxi the 5th of January 1700.
Jean died at sea between Cuba and Biloxi, December 31, 1699. Claude assisted in the establishment of the first Fort Louis De' LaMobile in 1702.
In 1704 he married Genevieve Burel and had 7 children from which came numerous descendants. From 1720 on, he lived at Nouville-Orleans, where he died in 1724.
