Ebenezer was killed by Indians in 1747 in Woolwich, Maine
Mary Lord Hilton has left us a description of the Indian attack on the Hilton farm by Montsweag Stream. On 31 July 1747, her father, Ebenezer, and her brother, Joshua, were fatally wounded, while another brother, William, was take captive to Quebec, but he was later returned. Ebenezer was the son of Manwaring Hilton and Elizabeth Thompson, whose husband later on was Alexander Gray, one of the early settlers of Woolwich.
